Councillors approve outline planning applications for 600 homes in Wellingborough.

Councillors at the Borough Council of Wellingborough approved an outline planning application on 5 December (pending the signing of a legal agreement) for a residential development of up to 600 homes near Park Farm Way, Wellingborough. As well as a range of infrastructure, the application includes the provision of 180 affordable homes on site and financial contributions towards local highway works, education and health.

Leader of the council, Cllr Martin Griffiths, said: “This is great news for the local economy and we look forward to delivering more affordable homes for residents across the borough. These homes will provide people with the opportunity to get on the property ladder through shared ownership, and deliver social housing for families needing a roof over their head.”
