A FREE driving course for people aged 17-30, held at the world-famous Silverstone Circuit, has just released its latest dates.
CarKraft is a driver improvement scheme which looks to help participants increase driver awareness, reduce collisions, improve fuel efficiency, drive through a skid and drive in challenging conditions.
If you hold a full UK driving licence or equivalent, have recently passed your test or are a seasoned user of the roads, CarKraft’s unique sessions feature both classroom-based learning and practical driving skills which will help participants improve their driving and feel more confident on the roads.
Keith Millard, Senior Behavioural Change Officer with Northamptonshire Highways, said: “Around 10,000 drivers have benefited since the CarKraft Driver Improvement Scheme was first introduced in 2001 and it continues to be a hugely popular and regularly over-subscribed scheme.
“CarKraft is for everyone – it is an invaluable experience whether you’re newly qualified or have held your licence for a few years. Everyone can benefit from some refresher training and we encourage you to sign up to one of our events.”
A recent participant on the course, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the day thanks to the fun and knowledgeable staff!
“After skidding on black ice last winter, the ice plates really helped to get my confidence back and I will now know how to stay in control of the car if it happens again.
“The police assessment was excellent in getting advice on small tweaks you can make to improve your driving. I have and will continue to recommend this experience to everyone.”
