Through the Switch Save Smile scheme, residents in East Northamptonshire have collectively saved an impressive £253,089 on their energy bills, new figures have revealed.

Back in 2015, East Northamptonshire Council teamed up with the leading collective switching expert, iChoosr, to take part in the Big Community Switch in a bid to help residents in East Northants get a better deal on gas and electricity.

Cllr Steven North, Leader of East Northamptonshire Council said:
“We are committed to helping residents save money on their energy bills and these figures show what a difference the Switch Save Smile scheme has made to the people of East Northamptonshire.”

“We all know that tariffs and energy prices tend to go up and are pleased to be part of a scheme that is proven to help our residents save money. Switch Save Smile is a hassle-free way of making sure you and your household get a good deal, so I encourage all residents to see if they can save money on their energy bills as we approach the colder months.”

Switch Save Smile is a free to register scheme and initial registration takes less than 10 minutes, for more information, please visit www.east-northamptonshire.gov.uk/sss.
