Higham Ferrers Hits the Big Screen

See a FREE screening of the ‘Higham Ferrers Charters’ film during Heritage Family Fun Day at Rushden Lakes on 15th September. Come and support this fantastic short film made by local schoolchildren to celebrate the restoration of the Higham Ferrers Charters through the hard work of everyone involved in the Charter Project, headed up by Higham Ferrers Town Council and the Higham Ferrers Tourism, Business and Community Partnership.

In 2018 Higham Ferrers was given a Heritage Lottery Grant to conserve its Charters. These were important historical documents but they were very old and in danger of disintegrating and being lost. The money was used to save them so everyone could see them and enjoy them in the future.

In 2019 the town celebrated the restoration and return of these Charters. The school celebrated with a week of fun and learning activities and took part in their own commemorative Charter film – which we now proudly bring to you in a screening at Cineworld on 15th September.

The film is around 9 minutes long and will be shown at 10am, 10.20am and 10.40am, screen location to be announced so please come to the Higham Ferrers Town Council gazebo for more information on the day or just head to Cineworld at your preferred time and ask to view the Charters film.

We look forward to welcoming you to this special screening event!
