Officers investigating the fatal road traffic collision on the A422 in Stratford Road, Deanshanger on Monday, February 28, have issued a brief update.

A gold Range Rover Velor was in collision with several vehicles, shortly after 5pm, and as a result of the collision, sadly one of the occupants of this vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. He is believed to be a man in his 20s from the Milton Keynes area.

He has yet to be formally identified however, his next of kin has been informed and are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer at this difficult time.

The second occupant of the Range Rover – a 17-year-old boy from Milton Keynes – sustained serious life-threatening injuries and remains in a critical condition at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

The driver of the silver Ford Transit van – a man in his 40s from Warwickshire – also sustained serious injuries during the collision and he remains at Milton Keynes Hospital, where his condition is serious but stable.

Officers would still like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have captured it on dash-cam footage who have not yet come forward.
